The Design District Condos, by EMBLEM Developments, is the first residential building in Hamilton — and one of the first in Canada — to feature Louis Vuitton furnishings. The pieces are curated throughout the building's amenity and common areas, not inside individual suites, alongside interiors by Toronto's award-winning Burdifilek studio.
This is not a suite-finish package or a co-branded restaurant on the ground floor. Louis Vuitton furnishings are placed in the shared spaces that residents use every day — the three designer lobbies, the lobby lounge, the party room, the co-working floor, the rooftop bar and the pool amenity level. The result is a design-forward building where the common experience carries the same craft as the residences themselves.
Miami, New York and London are defined by landmarks. EMBLEM's bet is that the next landmark is going up in downtown Hamilton, at the corner of Wilson and James North, one 11-minute walk from Hamilton GO and four LRT stops from McMaster University. The partnership with Louis Vuitton — and the choice of Burdifilek, whose retail interiors already shape how the world experiences luxury — signals the ambition.
