Interior Design
Designed by Burdifilek.
Burdifilek — the Toronto studio behind luxury retail interiors for Holt Renfrew, Bergdorf Goodman and Lane Crawford — shapes the residences, the three designer lobbies and the full rooftop and amenity programme at Design District Condos.
Founded by Diego Burdi and Paul Filek in 1993, Burdifilek has won more than 150 international design awards — from the Annual Interior Design Competition, BILD, ARIDO, and Best of Canada. Their portfolio includes W Hotel Atlanta, Holt Renfrew Toronto, Stratus Winery, Neiman Marcus Long Island, Champagne Bar Vancouver and Galleria Luxury Hall West Seoul.
"Interiors that draw from nature's canvas — wood, stone, natural tones — to bring a certain nobility to the finishings."
Burdifilek's practice is a rare fit for a residential tower of this scale. Their retail work sets the sensory tone of some of the most exacting luxury environments in the world; here, that discipline is turned inward — into homes and shared amenity spaces rather than storefronts — and paired with Louis Vuitton furnishings in the common areas.

The amenity spaces are a study of texture and colour: the co-working floor is fashioned after a comfortable pavilion; the gym opens out over the outdoor pool with specialized flooring and floor-to-ceiling glass. The result is Hamilton's first true design-forward condominium.
